There will be an FAA Safety Team meeting held here at TEA on Thursday Evening, March 18th at 7 PM.  The focus of this meeting is 'ground incursions', which represent a large portion of total aircraft accidents.  The seminar reviews the description and requirements of airport surface markings and signage.  The goal is the pilot's understanding of each sign/marking to prevent ground incursions.  In addition, tower communications and instructions will be discussed. The newsletter is attached in a .pdf format.  'The Weather Channel' Features Travel Express Aviation Interested in seeing the weather first hand and close up, reporters from The Weather Channel spent an evening with TEA's Chief Pilot flying through the clouds and feeling the effects that it has on a small private airplane! It was nice to have the opportunity to share with them, our view of the weather they report! CATS Testing Center - Take FAA Written Tests Here at TEA! For the convenience of all local pilots, TEA provides an authorized CATS Testing Center. Take the FAA and FCC Written Exams here at Travel Express located at the DuPage County Airport in West Chicago, Illinois. We issue all exams including the Private, Commercial, Instrument, ATP, FOI, CFI, CFII and Ground Instructor along with the Maintenance Testing A&P and I.A. To schedule a test, call us at 630.584.6462 to arrange for a date and time and then contact CATS directly at 800.947.9228 to register and pay for the tests. Remember to let them know that you are an AOPA member to receive a $10 discount.
